Laurie
C. Ashcraft - President
Laurie
C. Ashcraft, President, works with clients nationwide in designing,
conducting and analyzing marketing research studies. Before incorporating
Ashcraft Research in 1993, she founded and ran the Chicago Office
of Custom Research Inc. (CRI) for ten years as Senior Vice President.
Ashcraft has also held marketing research management positions at S.C. Johnson,
Marsteller ad agency, and Navistar. She has a BA in psychology from Northwestern
University and has studied at NU’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. She recently received Professional Researcher Certification Status, Expert Level, from the Marketing Research Association.
Ashcraft was appointed to the Census Advisory Committee by the Director of
the U.S. Census. She has served as Vice Chairman of the Research Industry Coalition,
a New York based consortium of marketing research industry associations. Ashcraft
is the Past Vice President of the national American Marketing Association.
As such, she served on the national Board of Directors and chaired AMA’s
Marketing Research Division Council. Most recently, Ashcraft conducted a pro
bono national survey of AMA members, presenting the results to the AMA Board
of Directors.
In addition
to contributing articles to Advertising Age, Marketing Research,
A Magazine of Management and Applications, and the Journal of Applied
Marketing Research, Ashcraft is research collaborator on a book
addressing the social impact of working women, written by Liz Nickles.
This book is based on data from her national tracking survey of
5,000 women. Ashcraft has discussed survey findings on Today and
CBS This Morning. The survey was the cover story for a three-page
article in USA Weekend magazine and was quoted in several issues
of American Demographics as well as Redbook, and Working Mother.
Ashcraft has also collaborated with Nickles on surveys among Generation
Y with the results cited in American Demographics and The New York
Times Magazine.
David Loney - Project Manager
David prepares and conducts marketing research studies for clients. Prior to joining ARI, he worked for Solomon Friedman Advertising. He gained experience conducting marketing research for Kentucky Fried Chicken. He earned his BA from Wayne State University, majoring in Marketing Management while minoring in Japanese Studies.
